These are a few things I have found that can hopefully help with decisions.<\/p>\n<p>While we are on our adventure for the day, the heat and the journey itself can make the things we ingest cause us discomfort. Here are some food choices, I think, we might consider staying away from:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li>Cheese; Since cheese is high in fat, it digests slowly in your stomach and it could feel like it can weigh\u00a0you down, making it harder for you to hike.<\/li>\n<li>Other foods high in fat; These foods are turned into energy less efficiently than carbs and proteins.<\/li>\n<li>Candy; Sugar spikes can crash energy. Exercising with these sugars can also send the sugars to your muscles causing a double sugar crash.<\/li>\n<li>Spices; On a hike, spices can cause heartburn and indigestion because\u00a0of their long digestions time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know a bunch of us are starting to think about our menu choices and some of us have already chosen a few things.
