Poultry science is one of the most developed areas of the animal agriculture in U.S. and the world, and interacts with several other sciences/disciplines, allowing for professionals in poultry science to have a vast array of options when it comes to careers in the poultry industry.
It is important to understand that having a degree in poultry science does not imply working with chickens only, but as a professional in poultry science you could have the opportunity to work with several other avian species such as:

Furthermore, the poultry industry includes different areas such as breeder management, hatchery management, grow-out farms, processing, feed-milling, environmental-related activities, engineering, and others.
